Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer and director who is best known for being the protagonist of Birdman. Keaton is an actor with a variety of talents who can play both comedic and dramatic role. He's also played a few romantic characters and appeared in several action thrillers during his professional career. As a teenager, he became interested in acting and performing. In his early years as a young adult the actor tried his hand at stand-up comics. His comedy career wasn't a success, however it paved the way for the path to a career in acting. He was unable to achieve fame as a comedian and his next move was as a TV cameraman for a cable network. While working at the cable station, he realized that he would like to be in front of a camera. After that, he was offered a TV appearance in several episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was an naturally talented actor and was soon a cult star on television. His comedic characters brought the actor fame and an impressive film career. He earned further acclaim as he played the character of the same name superhero as Tim Burton's Batman. In his later years, he also began to explore producing and directing. His role in 2014's Birdman was nominated for numerous nominations and awards.
